Today I am going to share with you my experience at Magic Kingdom in Orlando Florida and the moments I will cherish forever. Before I continue with the my story, I would like to clarify that I was planning on returning to Disney World this summer but because of Ms. Rona that is not the case now however, I do plan on returning later in the future when things start to ease.
My parents and I were a little unsure of going to Magic Kingdom since we were told by one of my former teammate’s parents that it was boring and only catered to small kids. Knowing how Disney World works, it is designed for everyone of any age to have an adventurous time. My mother and I decided to go and my little big sister chose to stay behind and went to the movies with other teammates to go and see the recent Spider-Man movie.
When we arrived at the entrance area, I did not know what to expect going forward throughout the duration of my time at the theme park. Instead of parking and walking towards the theme park itself, we were told to head towards the Ferry Boat which would lead us to our destination and honestly I did not expect that to happen but I went along with it. During the ferry ride, we were introduced to a beautiful view of the many hotels and resorts around the lake. As we were getting closer to our destination, I was able to see the famous Cinderella Castle which left me in awe. Never too old to enjoy life!
When we arrived to the park, one of the first places I visited was a quaint little the gift shop to purchase a Magic Band. My mom was confused as to why I was purchasing this item, but I already knew that it was for the inside access of the park. The first Disney characters we encountered were Officer Judy Hops and Nick Wilde from the Pixar movie “Zootopia”. Although I was eager to meet any Disney character, I also just wanted to explore the theme park and expect the unexpected. Before leaving the park, I had an opportunity to check out a few of the rides.
There was also a huge parade through the park which was very entertaining and well organized. The parade brought me back to my childhood days. After the parade was over, we made it a priority to visit the Cinderella Castle. There were plenty of food choices however we only had time to grab a delicious turkey leg. Before the rain approached, I had a chance to ride the cutest little ride name Its A Small World and the Haunted Mansion which would delight any child or child at heart.
Sadly, my visit had to be cut short because of a rain storm. If you have experienced Orlando Florida then you know rain storms are a daily common thing. I did get a chance to witness the famous fireworks show and do some quick shopping before leaving this fairy tale adventure. If I missed out on the fairy tales as a child, I certainly was able to make it up on this trip to Magic Kingdom.
Honestly, I have never witnessed something so magical and rare. Overall, my first Disney experience was fun and memorable. Can’t wait to do it one more time!
