Supertyphoon Servings: White Rosewater

Like many other detoxing cleansers, Rosewater cleanses toxins and reduces stress. Rose water is not only beautifully fragrant but extremely versatile. It has an extensive range of uses including facial toner, hair perfume, cooling mist, and linen freshener. *Rose petals are edible and rosewater has a place in the culinary world as well.

On occasion, I make my own fresh Rosewater. I do this by adding petals to a large pot and top with enough distilled water to just cover (no more or you’ll dilute your rosewater). over medium-low heat bring the water to a simmer and cover. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes or until petals have lost their color and are a pale pink.

A rose’s symbolism varies by the color:

Red  – Love

White  – Forgiveness

Yellow – Joy and Friendship

Pink – Compassion

White Rose Ice DIY

• Wash off your roses with water before placing in the bowl.
• Run lukewarm water over the petals and allow the roses to sit in the bowl for 5 minutes.
• Pour the rosewater into a cup or bottle.
• Place the petals that you used for your rosewater into an ice tray and pour water over and store in your freezer.
• Once the water is frozen you can now use the ice for your rose water or other beverages that you prefer.
